Assignment #4 Same Geometric Shape

I feel like I am starting to get a handle of this digital photography thing, and this week's assignment Same Geometric Shape I felt like I did very well on. I mean it was a little hard to take 20 pictures of a shape and still make them creative so think this was the first time Mr. Hill is really challenging us this year so far, but I worked very hard on it and i think it shows. I decided to use the circle as my geometric shape.

This is one of my favorite pictures. In my house, i have this gumball machine and i dumped out all the gumballs and gathered the blue and pink ones and put them in a glass cup and made a smiley out of it. It may sound easy, but it was actually very difficult because the pink balls kept falling down and it distorted the smile. For this picture I put the saturation up really high because it give it more of a "candy" look to it and it attracts the viewer's eye to the background too.

This picture is very simple, but yet I still like it. It's a Velcro golf chipping device that my friend gave me one year for Christmas and it is like a bulls eye. What i like about this is that the Velcro ball is off center which attracts more attention, I believe.

This week, Mr. Hill showed us some more effects we can use on picassa, such as multi exposure, picture pile, or picture grid. I used picture grid with these 4 pictures and it turned out pretty well. I like the effect and i think I will continue to use these effects throughout the year.
