Ok, 1st assignment of digital photography class is Repeating Patterns. Coming into this class, I was excited but also nervous because I knew that to get a good grade in Mr. Hill's class you have to be very creative and impress him, so I was a little tentative about signing up for this class, but overall I am glad I did because this is one of my favorite classes of the year.
I really like this picture because not many people can guess what it is. It is the top of a big camera case, and it looks like little lava hills to me. I also really like the saturated effect which I boosted up quite a bit.
This picture also many people could not guess what it was. Those lines are actually my blinds in my kitchen and I just happened to catch them at the right angle. Like the previous picture I boosted up the saturated effect and it worked to my advantage.
Mr. Hill liked this picture a lot and called it my "money shot". Don't get me wrong, I like it too, i just think that my other 2 were better. It makes me wonder what actually Mr. Hill is looking for in our assignments, maybe more black and white? more contrasts? less saturation? I don't know, but I am definitely going to find out.
